In March 2019, the Council of Australian Governments and the National Coalition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peak Organisations signed the Partnership Agreement on Closing the Gap. The Partnership Agreement is guiding the event of the new National Agreement on Closing the Gap, which will set out priorities over the following ten years. There are others corresponding to red imported fireplace ant, shopping ant and electrical ant that threaten WA from interstate and overseas, primarily via ports of entry (air and sea).
